Being part of an organization such as Maryland School Nutrition Association is a very important part of your career. It gives you opportunities to network with others in your field. You learn from each other by sharing ideas and developing groups to brainstorm, not only solve problems, but also to develop new ways of doing specific tasks.
Get involved in your local chapter and serve on a committee. Duties are listed on the job descriptions to give guidance to those who choose to serve in that office or on that committee. Serve on a committee for the Maryland School Nutrition Association. Serving your Child Nutrition organization at the local and state levels, in a position of leadership and/or convention planning is truly unique and alot of fun!
