Mass. legislators plan for the future of school meals

Massachusetts lawmakers are considering a proposal that would make a free lunch program for all students in the state permanent. The current program, currently set to expire in 2024, has expanded meal participation to an additional 80,000 students in the state, said Jennifer Lemmerman, vice president of public policy at anti-hunger organization Project Bread.
