A new food waste reduction draft strategy from the FDA, USDA and EPA sets four objectives and potential measures to support the goal of cutting food waste and food loss in half by 2030. Strategies include investing in transportation optimization technology, whole crop purchasing, consumer education, expanded food donation programs, improved organic waste recycling infrastructure and growing the market for products that make use of recycled organic waste.
