Conn. governor, lawmakers back universal school meals


Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont and state lawmakers are working to advance legislation that would ensure all students in the state regardless of income have access to universal meals. "I have yet to see any of my colleagues say, 'This is a bad idea,'" said Sen. Saud Anwar. "Everyone stepped forward and said, 'This is our responsibility.'"
