Changes to student count policies during the coronavirus pandemic could affect funding for schools, according to a report from the Education Commission of the States. "In many states, we see that the amount of students you have in your classroom directly translates to the loss or gain of tens of thousands of dollars," said co-author of the report and a policy analyst, Eric Syverson.
