Registered dietitian Samantha Cassetty compares the nutritional profiles of cantaloupe and honeydew, two melons that are both hydrating and in abundant supply during the summer months. Cantaloupe is a good way to get antioxidant vitamins A and C, while honeydew provides healthful potassium, but Cassetty says both are nutritional winners. "Given the role of variety in your diet, I'd encourage you to eat honeydew and cantaloupe, as well as other types of melon, such as watermelon," Cassetty says.
