Multiple types of melons are hydrating, healthful

While there are dozens of varieties of melons grown and consumed globally, watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melons are the most commonly consumed in the US, according to registered dietitian Anthea Levi, who says each type has its own unique nutritional profile. Most melons contain healthful antioxidants, vitamin C and are hydrating, and Levi says that "adding these versatile fruits to your diet can help you stay well-nourished and may even lower your risk of developing chronic conditions over time."
