Dori Foods is a specialty foodservice distributor focused on schools, corrections and military markets in the Mid-Atlantic region. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, Dori Foods was founded in 1979 by Lewis Baum. Frank Baum operated Dori Foods as President for many years until he was preceeded by Sarah Cooper in 2019. Dori Foods is also a long-time member of the Frosty Acres Buying Group.
Good Source Solutions acquired Dori Foods in 2014 to create a strong national distribution platform that offers greater value and product selection to existing & new customers. Good Source Solutions gained additional scale in the education sector and a stronger East Coast distribution network. Dori Foods gained access to a wider selection of food, such as Tools for Schools® branded products designed to exceed child nutrition meal program requirements.
