The USDA last month released proposed
long-term nutrition standards for school meal programs. Among other provisions, the proposal phases in new limits on added sugars and additional sodium reductions and seeks feedback on whole grain requirements and flavored milk options. USDA's
comparison chart details specific proposed changes. As SNA prepares to draft official comments in response to the proposal, we are
collecting member feedback on each section of the proposed rule. Please submit your comments by March 15.
