What’s new: U.S. Rep. Mark Alford?(R-MO) introduced “The School Lunch Affordability Act,”
legislation to amend Paid Lunch Equity requirements.
- According to press reports, the bill would ensure that only those school food authorities with a negative balance in the nonprofit school foodservice account on June 30 of the year preceding the previous school year will be required to increase prices for paid lunches.
