Ore. legislators advocate for universal school meals

Oregon state lawmakers, led by Reps. Courtney Neron and Ben Bowman, are advocating for a bill to expand the School Meals for All program to include all public schools. Currently, 94% of Oregon's public schools provide free meals, but 65 schools do not participate due to various challenges. The proposed expansion is supported by $417.4 million in federal matching funds and backed by a coalition of anti-hunger advocates.
