Getting adequate dietary fiber may lower diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer risks, and to help boost fiber intake, registered dietitians offer seven carbohydrates with more fiber per serving than brown rice, including buckwheat, whole-wheat pastas, green peas and sweet potatoes. "There are plenty of options to increase fiber intake," says registered dietitian nutritionist Victoria Whittington. "After all, eating more fiber doesn't have to be boring!"
