Recently, SNA signed on as a supporter of the
School Hunger Elimination Act, first introduced during the 117th Congress by Representative Jahana Hayes, D-Conn. The bill would expand access to free or reduced-price school meals by directly certifying school-age children receiving Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). In the Senate, the School Hunger Elimination Act is included in
S.4525, introduced by Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., and Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa.
