Sparkling water -- water that is infused with carbon dioxide to make it fizzy -- is equally as hydrating as plain, still water, experts say. The differences come down to personal preference with the most appealing beverage likely to promote hydration, although for some the carbonation may cause bloating and gas, according to registered dietitian and spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Grace Derocha. Also, choose sparkling waters without added sugars, Derocha said.
