The School Nutrition
Association is calling on the USDA to extend 11 school meal waivers issued
during the coronavirus public health emergency and provide universal free meals
through the next school year. In the letter to US Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue,
SNA said school nutrition professionals will continue to need flexibility to
revise menus and change how meals are distributed as necessary during the
2020-21 school year.
