We know this is a challenging time and we are deeply grateful for
your efforts to ensure students from your schools and communities are being fed
during the Coronavirus pandemic. As a result of school closures across the
country, we have been forced to make the difficult decision to furlough our
staff.
Staff will be furloughed for a single week between May 4 and July
31, 2020. The furloughs will be staggered to minimize any disruptions and we
will coordinate across the organization to ensure we continue to provide
excellent customer service to our members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
During the furloughs, you will be able to reach SNA as you usually do, and you
can call the Service Center at SNA and leave a message at (800) 877-8822 or by
email at [email protected]. We will
be monitoring all calls and emails and will ensure they are responded to in a
timely manner.
SNA’s website and social media channels will also remain
operational to ensure all members and stakeholders have the latest news and
updates on the impact of COVID-19 on school nutrition programs and efforts on
the federal level to mitigate negative outcomes of the pandemic. As a result of
planning and various communications tools, we expect you will see little
difference in our operations.
