The “Farm to Tray” Recipe Contest will be held on Saturday morning during the Convention. Eight County teams of up to three members selected on a first-come, first-serve basis will prepare their original, standardized recipe containing fresh fruits or vegetables within one hour. 

A panel of judges will evaluate the entries immediately following the contest and the winners will be announced and cash prizes awarded at the Closing General Session on Saturday afternoon. 

The deadline for entering the contest is Friday, September 16, 2011, at 4:30 PM.  The official MSNA Farm to Tray Recipe Contest Entry Form and Recipe Form must be used to enter the contest.

This year, the Contest can also be counted as an educational session. Seating will be provided for an audience to watch the proceedings and listen to a local Executive Chef and Contest judge explain the judging criteria and provide key information on how to develop  successful  and winning recipes using fresh fruits and vegetables. Samples of all entries will be available for the audience members to taste test and guess the winning recipe!
